Nine easily learnt techniques to create a variety of shapes and textures to be used as single embellishments or to cover cushions, linens, garments etc. in a splash of bold or subtle effects. Workshop includes cutting, folding, embroidery and other methods of adding a new dimension to your work piece.
You will need to bring a few items with you:
Sewing machine, accessories and instruction book Basic sewing kit including pins and small scissors Fabric: plain fabrics are the most effective, and several metres of calico together with a few contrasting fat quarters would work well Cotton sewing thread Some decorative threads Twin needle Large scissors Card (about 15cms square), compass, pencil and paper scissors
Optional: Rotary cutting equipment Pintuck foot Quarter inch foot Walking foot Triple needle Beads, sequins and thread
Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided but there will be a lunch break so do bring along a snack to eat. tutor Davina Knell The course runs from 10:00am to 4:00pm
