Introduction to patchwork

An easy foundation workshop introducing the skills, techniques and materials used in the ever popular patchwork and quilting crafts.
This introduction can lead into three future workshops; Perfect Triangles, Minature Patchwork and Making a Crazy Patchwork Binder.

You will be using your own machine so bring along your Sewing machine, accessories and instruction book
and a basic sewing kit including
Pins and scissors
Selection of coloured/patterned fabrics – Fat quarters are best or light/medium weight cottons, NOT furnishing fabric.
A metre or so of a light/medium weight calico or of American quilters' muslin.(To continue the project at home and make a whole single bed quilt you would need two and three-quarter metres)
Cotton sewing thread

Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided but there will be a lunch break so do bring along a snack to eat.
